The walking tour starts from the School Life and Education Museum in Plaka neighbourhood. In the beginning, an introduction will help the participants to better understand the principles of philosophy. Walking in the oldest street of Athens, Tripodon Street, where the ancient Greek philosophers used to walk and debate for long, we will take you then to the Theater of Dionysus, the Pnyx and the Cell where Socrates was imprisoned.

The walking tour starts from the School Life and Education Museum in Plaka neighbourhood. In the beginning, an introduction will help the participants to better understand the principles of philosophy. Walking in the oldest street of Athens, Tripodon Street, where the ancient Greek philosophers used to walk and debate for long, we will take you then to the Theater of Dionysus, the Pnyx and the Cell where Socrates was imprisoned.
Afterwards we will be headed to the Pnyx, and we will simulate the meeting of the principal assembly of the democracy of Ancient Athens. Through extracts from Plato and theatrical activities we will experience the principles of his philosophy and thinking. The walk will be concluded at the Areios Pagos (Areopagus) where we will take part in an intriguing debate challenging the concept of Democracy in the past and present.
