Overview
An alternative tour of the Acropolis Museum for children and their families! Sofia the Owl, one of the many owls who live from ancient times until now in Plaka neighborhood, will help the children to unravel the myths and to discover the history that lies behind the ancient monuments of the city!
Itinerary
Before and during their visit at the Acropolis Museum, children with Sofia the Owl’s assistance will have the opportunity to learn hidden stories about important exhibits of the Museum such as Trisomatos, Moschoforos, Medusa, the Caryatids, the Rampin Rider, the Sphinx, and many other unique monuments. The owl will also help the children to think about the life of ancient Greeks, their materials, colors, art and philosophy!
Arriving at the Museum we will follow a specific route where we will stop only at selected exhibits and through short activities, children will be able to see the unseen mysteries and stories of these exhibits.
The program ends outside of the Acropolis Museum and under the sunny Attic sky, where each child makes his own paper owl!
